8,000 Turtle Doves Fall Out of the Sky, Dead! A New Theory Emerges.

Shock: Residents described seeing individual doves fall from the sky, before groups of 10 or 20 began hitting roofs and cars
8,000 turtle doves in Italy are the latest victims of the latest death epidemic that seems to be sweeping the world.

The worldwide mass deaths of animals isn't over yet, as was made quite clear to the residents of Faenza, Italy when 8,000 turtle doves came crashing dead out of the sky. Upon examining the corpses, scientists discovered that the birds had a blue stain around their beaks.

In birds, blue stains on the beak usually means the bird had either been affected by hypoxia, or been poisoned. Hypoxia is "an inadequacy in the oxygen reaching the body's tissues." It is a condition that mainly occurs in mountainous regions, or other areas of high altitude. Hypoxia generally causes dizziness, lack of coordination, fatigue, and confusion.

One of the very common theories going around is that cold weather is causing all of these animals to die.

A New Theory for these Events

A recent theory suggests that the magnetic shifting of the poles could be what is messing up the birds' navigation systems, which rely on magnetism. The inner navigation systems of fish are believed to work in the same way as that of a bird's. The magnetic poles are shifting 25 miles per year.

Another Mass Animal Death! 40,000 Dead Crabs Wash Up on Shore in the UK. What is Going on with the World? Update on Bird Deaths.

More than 40,000 dead devil crabs washed up
on the shores of Kent Coast, located in the UK.
First, 5,500 dead birds start falling from the sky. Then, 100,000 spot fish suddenly turn belly-up. Now, more than 40,000 Velvet Swimming crabs (also known as Devil Crabs) have washed up on shore, dead. What is going on?
To some people, the world seems to be spiraling into madness. To others, the world was already crazy, and is now just becoming even more insane than it already was. And then there are people like National Wildlife Federation scientist Doug Inkley, who says, ""There's been an unusual amount of [media] attention on [these mass mortality events] which does occur quite frequently."

The crabs aren't the only sea creatures littering Britain's beaches. Joining the dead crabs are sponges, anemones, and whelks. Scientists say that they believe the crabs died of hypothermia, due to it being the coldest December recorded in Britain in 120 years. Yet others believe the government is involved.

This picture shows a large number of birds falling dead out of the sky.

One website (nowtheendbegins.com) points out that the birds in the picture above are dropping from the sky in clear weather and open skies. They aren't the only ones who find that odd.

Some conspirators are saying that the cause of all this is a government project known as HAARP.

HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is a project attempting to improve communications by changing the ionosphere.

However, the Air Force claims:

"The potential applications of artificial electromagnetic fields are wide-ranging and can be used in many military or quasi-military situations... Some of these potential uses include dealing with terrorist groups, crowd control, controlling breaches of security at military installations, and antipersonnel techniques in tactical warfare.

In all of these cases the EM (electromagnetic) systems would be used to produce mild to severe physiological disruption or perceptual distortion or disorientation. In addition, the ability of individuals to function could be degraded to such a point that they would be combat ineffective.

Another advantage of electromagnetic systems is that they can provide coverage over large areas with a single system. They are silent and countermeasures to them may be difficult to develop... One last area where electromagnetic radiation may prove of some value is in enhancing abilities of individuals for anomalous phenomena."

It's Raining Dead Birds! End of the World? Some Think So.

Red-winged blackbirds from Arkansas were studied at the University of Georgia.
Thousands of birds, including these red-winged blackbirds,
recently dropped dead out of the sky. No one is sure of
what exactly caused these mysterious deaths as of yet.

This Jan. 3, 2011 photo provided by the Maryland Department of the Environment shows dead fish, mostly spot, along with a few small croaker, at Northwest Creek on Kent Island in Stevensville, Md. State officials say an estimated two million fish have been reported dead since last week.

This New Year's Eve, 5,000 European starlings, red-winged blackbirds, and common grackles dropped dead out of the sky in Beebe, Arkansas. 450 dead blackbirds littered a highway in Louisiana near Baton Rouge. Just before midnight on Tuesday, an estimated 100 jackdaw birds were found dead in Falkoping, Sweden. As well as this, about 2 million fish were discovered dead in Maryland, in Chesapeake Bay. Authorities from Brazil report that several tons of what was mostly sardines also turned up dead around the Paranagua port area. There are no proven theories about what is happening to these birds and fish as of right now. Some believe that the mass death of these animals are signs of an upcoming apocalypse.

The fish deaths are most likely completely unrelated to the bird deaths. Spot fish (the type of fish shown in the image to the right) are quite susceptible to the cold, and it was recorded that mass fish deaths like this occurred in Maryland in 1976 and 1980. The explanation for the mass death of the birds, however, is not as easy to come up with.

The species of dead birds found varied from brown-headed cowbirds, red-winged blackbirds, robins, starlings, and grackles. These species often flock together in the wintertime.

The birds apparently began dropping out of the sky in Arkansas around 11 pm. They were landing everywhere. Many Arkansas residents were traumatized, frightened, and disturbed by the event.

Christy Stephens told the New York Times, ""One of [the birds] almost hit my best friend in the head. We went inside after that."

Biologists found no evidence of toxins or poison gas on the birds, so that theory was pretty much ruled out. Another theory is that fireworks startled the birds, causing them to become so stressed out that they died. Although this is a possibility, 5,000 dead birds is a very large number. It is considered quite unusual for all of them to have died.

Some people are saying that the fireworks theory is just a cover-up story created by the government to conceal the real cause of death--government testing of a new weapon or some sort of device.

Several dead bird samples showed signs of blunt-force trauma. Ornithologist Karen Rowe said to CNN, "The birds obviously hit something very hard and had hemorrhages."

This has led other people to believe that the birds had flown into a UFO, and therefore UFOs were the cause.

Many people have theorized that the birds could have flown into a storm and been pelted by hail or struck by lightning. However, this theory is very unlikely to be true due to the fact that there was no storm going on in that area at the time the birds began dying.
